The maps in the Atlas Geograficzny Illustrowany Królestwa Polskiego, on this Website, were prepared by Joseph Michael Bazewicz (born 1867 - died 5 June 1929 in Warsaw ) - cartographer, writer, and
business man in Warsaw.
The Atlas was prepared at the end of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th century and includes color maps of the Russian-dominated Kingdom of Poland. It also contains descriptions of each gubernia, powiat in the country, as well as descriptions of the major cities in each powiat.
The 1907 Atlas maps were scanned and modified to describe sections so that they could be easily indexed and searched.
The maps are high resolution maps. To view and download a map from this website, double click on the map number in the Powiat Map List.
